About the collection:

“I painted the Wildflowers of Gariwerd as a way to connect with nature in absentia. Gariwerd is one of the most majestic, diverse and sacred landscapes in Victoria. It's home to an abundance of plant life and one of my favourite places to be. I couldn't visit in person because of travel restrictions, but I could paint the feeling of being there. Sumi-e, ink brush painting, is a type of meditation. It's about using brush strokes to communicate the essence of what you're painting. There's a simplicity to working in black and white that lets the shapes sing. I chose flowers with interesting silhouettes and left plenty of white space around them. These paintings were created to recall the gentle hum of nature and bring a pocket of serenity into your home.”

“Orchid Song” showcases wallflower orchids and spotted sun orchids.
