Granite Goodness
Granite Goodness
"Granite Gooness" showcases Blue Pincushions and the Grampians stringy bark tree - Eucalyptus Serraensis - whose range is limited to Gariwerd. It’s found nowhere else in the world!
An original painting from the Wildflowers of Gariwerd series.
About the Collection
Gariwerd is one of the most majestic, diverse and sacred landscapes in Victoria. It's home to an abundance of plant life and one of my favourite places to be. This collection was inspired by the sense of belonging and open-ness you feel when you’re exploring the granite outcrops, or leaning in to peer at the wildflowers.
I chose plants with interesting silhouettes and left plenty of white space around them. There's a simplicity to working in black and white that lets the shapes sing!
