"Pincushions mini" showcases the sweet Blue Pincushions (Brunonea Australis) that flower all through spring and summer. The simplicity of the composition gives the painting a meditative quality. This tiny painting is the perfect size for a workspace or bedside table.

About the Collection

Gariwerd is one of the most majestic, diverse and sacred landscapes in Victoria. It's home to an abundance of plant life and one of my favourite places to be. This collection was inspired by the sense of belonging and open-ness you feel when you’re exploring the granite outcrops, or leaning in to peer at the wildflowers.

I chose plants with interesting silhouettes and left plenty of white space around them. There's a simplicity to working in black and white that lets the shapes sing!

Sumi (ink) on handmade, natural (cream) tone kozo paper.

Unframed option: artwork comes mounted on 5mm thick, acid-free foamcore backing.

Framed option: artwork comes float mounted in a black woodgrain frame.
